Quieter Updating

I tweaked the settings on the plugin that notifies Facebook, MySpace, and other sites that I have posted a new article. They should now only post new status messages when a post is published or updated. The notifications that a post is started or saved should no longer occur.

A third and hopefully last test

This is a test using a different plugin that updates social network statuses through Ping.fm. This plugin seems like a keeper for now.

Plugin Musings

I’ve explored some WordPress plugins so far and have decided that a good plugin does one thing well instead of trying to do many things. If a plugin deals with adding keywords to posts, then that should be all it does. It should not deal with adding descriptions or anything else. This means I’m going to be more skeptical of using ‘all in one’ sorts of plugins in the future.
